Screens are common in our everyday life. Thanks to the development of internet and information technology, we can easily deliver and receive information by clicks of fingers. Screens connect us all, and screen light, in some way, becomes vital for us. We are so immersed in screens and the world behind them. It seems that we could get over loneliness and darkness only with screen light.
Life, Light and Screen is a light installation that explores the relationships among living, behavior and light. Instead of using light bulbs, the screens of a mobile phone and a tablet are used as illuminants. These lamps could barely be practically used, but it could be a reminder for us that life could be getting worse if we are overwhelmingly addicted to a virtual world.
These objects are also selected for SPEKTRUM , a selection of light concepts, developed for Living & Behavior LIGHT project, co-supervised by Guest Professor Stefan Diez / DIEZ OFFICE and Leif Huff / IDEO.
